Setup Microsoft Outlook Express For POP3 Emails

Step 1
Select Tools/Accounts from Outlook's menu bar

Step 2
Click Add to add a new Mail account

Step 3
Enter the full name to be displayed to recipients when mails are send from this new account
Click Next

Step 4
Enter the full Email address for the new Mail account
Click Next

Step 5
Set, mail server to POP3
Incoming Mail Server to mail.domainname.com and Outgoing Mail server to smtp.domainname.com
Can also be:
mail.domainname.com or your ISP SMTP
Click Next

Step 6
Enter the full Email address under Account name.Enter the Email password.
Click Next

Step 7
Click Finish

Step 8
Your New Email account will now be added to Outlook. Click once on the New Email account then click properties.

Step 9
Under the General tab you can rename the New account.

Step 10
For example, Account name is now change to owner's name.

Step 11
Under the Servers tab, verify that all server settings are correct and insure that My server requires authentication is checked.
Click on Settings.
Click Ok

Step 12
Make sure Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected. And press OK
If you are using your ISP SMTP mail server then you will need to select Log on using and enter in your ISP Account name and password.
Click Ok

Step 13
Select Advanced Server tab. Check, Leave a copy of messages on the server.
And also check, Remove from server after 10 days.
If this is not completed the mail server will eventually fill up and stop the flow of emails into your account
Click Ok

Step 14
If you wish to set your New account to default and you have more than one account already setup for Outlook you can do this by clicking on the New account then click Set as Default.
*Setting an account to default will make this account your primary Email account.
Click Close to Finish setting up your new account
